St. Mary's
The very attractive church of St Mary the Virgin stands in the heart of the village, its tower being visible from all approaches. The congregation are warm and welcoming and the principal service is at 11am each Sunday. On the 3rd Sunday of each month, incense is used at the Parish Communion. There is an upper room to which parents and toddlers may withdraw, from which the service can be seen and heard. We would love to see you and wait to welcome you. Church Open for visitors:- during April on 1st & 3rd Saturday 10am to 12noon then May to October each Saturday 10am to 4pm. “Let the children come to me …” We are endeavouring to create an opportunity for mums/dads/carers with pre-school children to come to St Mary’s for a cup of tea and a VERY short time of prayer and praise. The first of these is on Wednesday 4 June at 2.15pm at St Mary’s. Please make this known if you have neighbours with little children – members of our church family are also warmly invited to welcome and befriend those who may come along. It is hoped to hold this event each month in term time. American Contacts St. Mary's is in regular contact with the Pilgrim John Howland Society of America.
