Marriages

Marriages should be booked as early as possible and before other arrangements (reception, etc) have been booked. We can help you with arrangements for music, flowers etc., to make the day truly memorable. You will be expected to attend a day of preparation for your marriage about 6 months before the ceremony.

If either party has previously been married to someone who is still alive, special circumstances apply which the Vicar will talk about with you.

Holy Baptism

Through our Baptism (as infants, children or adults) we become part of God’s family, the Christian Church across the world. We also thank God for our life (or our child’s life) and celebrate this with family and friends.

Baptism normally takes place at –

St Andrew’s Langford on the 2nd Sunday each month

St Mary’s Henlow on the 4th Sunday each month

(but other times can be arranged). About 3 month's notice is encouraged.

You will be expected to attend an evening of preparation for the service, together with the Godparents if they live locally. You will also be expected to join in the Family Service of the church on the Sunday following the baptism service.
