THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our annual gift days in previous years: without your support St Mary’s would, quite literally, have fallen apart by now!
As with any ancient building, of course, we need to continue with the maintenance, and this year we plan to use your gifts towards repairs on the west face of the tower.
Please do come along to the church on Saturday 19th November and we’ll be delighted to show you around, explain why we’re here and what we hope to do with your gifts to ensure that St Mary’s can continue to serve future generations in Henlow.
TEA AND COFFEE will be served and there will be a display of church vestments, registers and other exhibits along with a sale of home produce, cakes and books.
FLYERS WITH COLLECTION ENVELOPES are being distributed throughout the village: please use one of those envelopes for your donation, and if you pay income tax, please consider gift-aiding your donation by completing your details on the envelope. This will allow us to reclaim the tax you’ve paid: at no extra cost to you, a gift-aided donation of £10 becomes £12.50!
IF YOU’RE UNABLE to join us on the day, please bring your envelope to the church at any time when it is open or contact us for more information. Details of church opening times and our regular service schedule may be found on the St Mary's homepage and our Services and Events page.
