Children doing craftwork BRING US YOUR RUBBISH!
— and your imagination!

Thursday, 27 November, 2014

We are planning to run a series of Art & Craft Sessions for children and young people on the first Saturday of each month and need a range of items to get us started: please bring in cardboard tubes, silver paper, clear and coloured cellophane (such as sweet wrappers), off-cuts/scraps of cloth and anything else that you think might be useful. Donations of crayons, chalk, colouring pencils, felt-tip pens, coloured drawing paper and coloured post-it notes would be especially welcome.

There will be a bag at the back of church to put things in. Thank you in anticipation!

We're recruiting! We have vacancies for Sopranos/Trebles, Altos, Tenors and Basses. We sing a wide range of music in a friendly atmosphere - Sunday Service, 11am - Choir Practice, Tuesday 7pm - 8pm. If you can read music it helps but it's not essential. No auditions - just turn up on Tuesday evening or contact the Choirmaster, James Burgess, 01462 700115.

PILGRIM IS BACK!
Saturday, 12 April, 2014

Following the success of the Pilgrim Course in January/February, we're running two more courses after Easter to help us find out more about the Christian faith:

The Pilgrim Course: A Turning Point? 1. A Turning Point?
This group is for those who want the chance to think more about the Christian faith; those who have recently started to come to Church; those preparing for Confirmation; and those who have been Christians for many years and want to visit the roots of their faith again.

  • Where? Langford Church Hall
  • When? Wednesday evenings at 8pm: 30th April; 21st & 28th May; 11th, 18th & 25th June.

Each session lasts no more than 90 minutes.
For more information and to register an interest, please contact Revd Canon Sue Groom or Revd Patsy Critchley.
This course ran earlier this year with 12 participants who all enjoyed it and enthused about it!

The Pilgrim Course: Seen in a New Light? 2. Seen in a New Light?
Exploring the Lord’s Prayer: this group is for those who have already attended A Turning Point?

  • Where? 1 Jordan Close, Henlow
  • When? Tuesday evenings at 8pm: 29th April; 6th, 13th & 27th May; 3rd & 10th June.

Interested? Please contact Revd Canon Sue Groom.

Confirmation
Bishop Alan of St Albans is coming to Langford on Tuesday 8th July at 7.30pm. Please speak to Sue or Patsy if you are interested in being confirmed or in affirming your faith.
