Discovering Prayer is a series of articles written by Sue, with new articles being added around halfway through each month:

The Living God's Love Prayer
The Diocese of St Albans is encouraging churches and individuals to use this prayer to help us not only talk about God's love but to live it:
Living God,
draw us deeper into your love;
Jesus our Lord,
send us to care and serve;
Holy Spirit,
make us heralds of good news.
Stir us, strengthen us,
teach and inspire us
to live your love
with generosity and joy,
imagination and courage;
for the sake of your world
and in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's Prayer is a prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. You can say it as it is or use it as a pattern for your own prayers. This is the version we use in church;
see further down for a modern English version.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Monthly Prayer Diary
Throughout each month, we pray for our local community. To help us pray for both villages, here's a list of streets, community groups and other organisations to pray for. On the 1st of each month we pray for the residents of Langford Road, Newtown, Harrier Mill in Henlow; and of Church Street and Vicarage Close in Langford; and so on through the month.
If your street or group isn't shown, please contact us so that we can add you to the list and pray for you.

The Lord's Prayer: Modern English version
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread;
forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil,
for the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours,
now and for ever.
Amen
